We are always looking for new volunteers to work at the Op Shop.
Customer service shifts, ideally of two people, are 10am to 1pm and 1pm to 4pm Monday through Saturday at Sackville Street and 9am to 1pm on Saturday at Princes Street. Regular shifts are preferred, whether that is weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
Sorting of donated goods is done at Princes Street as needed and when volunteers are available. Every now and again we need someone to do a “tip run” of items that cannot be used.
The rooming house benefits from volunteers who are willing to assist with meal preparation, some cleaning or yard work and all of these tasks include interacting with residents.
Police Checks are required for volunteers at the rooming house, and that cost is borne by francis foundation.
