francis foundation

supporting people with mental health issues at risk of homelessness

francis foundation was a very practical response to  people being discharged from the local psychiatric hospital in southwest Victoria in the early 1980’s but some having nowhere to go.

More than 400 people have since accessed safe and affordable accommodation in the francis foundation rooming house in Warrnambool and have been supported with their mental health so that it doesn’t lead to further disadvantage.

We are a local, thoughtful, community response to an ongoing issue. We thank and acknowledge our volunteers, donors, supporters, friends and stakeholders – who are all crucial to francis foundation.
